Accommodation

We have reserved accommodation for the participants of the conference in (i) the Villa Vasváry Guest House of the Hungarian Academy; (ii) the University Hotel (5 minutes on foot from the GHA, in total 118 beds); and (iii) the prestigious hotels in the centre of Pécs (see below). We strongly recommend that participants chose the University Hotel. The GHA will serve as the venue of the conference where all the lectures and poster sessions will be held. The reservation service is available and bookings can be altered until the 15th April 2008. The bookings are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. The accommodation should be paid to Tensi Ltd. either by credit card or money transfer.

IMPORTANT: To book your accommodation through this website you need to register first to the conference (see Registration page). Once registered, the participants will receive an e-mail notification which contains a link to access the initial password setup page of the online system. After you have specified your password, you can enter the online system where the booking of accommodation and/or other features will be available.

GHA Guest House of the Academy (for VIP)

The Centre of the Regional Committee (CRC) is housed in the historic Villa Vasvry that was built in 1884. The building is situated in a beautiful park, whose highlights are the delicately ornamented southern faade with rich colours of glazed Zsolnay majolica reliefs and the interiors decorated with Zsolnay ceramics. The well-equipped modern halls of the Villa Vasvry are an ideal venue for hosting conferences. The rooms accommodating guests are equally suitable for creative work and rest.

All of them are equipped with bathroom, TV, telephone as well as free internet access. We provide a round-the-clock reception service and free parking in the parking lot of the Villa.

The three-star Hotel Palatinus is situated in the historic inner-city, in the walking street near the Szchenyi square.
The hotel was built at the beginning of the century and was completely refurbished recently. This grand art-deco building offers all modern comforts and facilities.

The three-star Hotel Patria is located in the town centre. It was opened in 1976 and has a facade decorated with Zsolnay ceramics.
The historical monuments, museums and galleries are nearby.
The hotel has 115 comfortable rooms and 1 suite. Each is equipped with a minibar, color TV, radio, and telephone. The hotel ensures a closed, guarded parking place for guests arriving by car.

The hotel was built close to the historic centre of Pecs, on the hillside of Mecsek. The PTE Hunyor Guesthouse is located near to the University centre. The hotel has 50 rooms and 2 appartments . All of the rooms have balcony, television, bath, fridge and telephone.
