Abstract Submission
Abstracts for the XVth International Conference on Biological Calorimetry must be submitted by March 31, 2008 (see Deadlines) to be included in the Book of Abstracts of the conference, to be considered for oral or poster presentation and to be considered for publication in the Proceedings.
IMPORTANT: To submit your abstract through this website you need to register first to the conference (see Registration page). Once registered, the participants will receive an e-mail notification which contains a link to access the initial password setup page of the online system. After you have specified your password, you can enter the online system where the abstract submission and/or other features will be available.
When preparing your abstract, please follow the editing instructions below. You will be asked in the abstract submission page whether you want to have your results to be considered for oral or poster presentation. Please sign do you plan it to publish in the Proceedings.
Instructions to Authors (abstracts)
The abstract should be a Microsoft Word doc type file, written in Times New
Roman. Title of the abstract should be in bold, 14-point type and centered,
please use upper case. Author name(s) should be in 12-point type, centered,
bold, author affiliation and full address should be 10-point type, centered,
italic, author e-mail address should be 10-point type, centered, italic.
The first line of the first paragraph of a section or subsection should start
flush left. The first line of subsequent paragraphs within the section or subsection
should be indented 0.6 cm. Use A4 paper (21 x 29.7 cm) with 2.5 cm margin on
all sides, use 10-point Times New Roman font, and do not use hyphens at the
end of a line. References should appear at the end of the paper in the order
in which they appear in the body of the paper. The font should be 8 point, and
the references should be aligned left. Within the main text, references should
be designated by a number in brackets [1], and they should be followed by a
comma or period [2]. Two references cited at once should be included together
[3,4], separated by a comma, while three or more consecutive references should
be indicated by the bounding numbers and a dash [1–4].
